  • A recent letter from Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP (Minister of State for School Standards)

    Mon 24 Feb 2020

    Dear Parent/Carer,

I feel extremely proud, honoured and privileged to share with you a recent letter from Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for School Standards, congratulating Westbourne Primary School on the very high level of progress pupils demonstrated in the  Reading, Writing and Mathematics Key Stage 2 assessments last year; in terms of progress, our school is amongst the top 3 per cent of primary schools in the country.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank our absolutely brilliant staff who, day in – day out, work tirelessly, caringly and with great expertise to deliver the very best education for all our children. I would also like to thank our community for the support they provide to the school – a strong and fruitful partnership indeed.

  • Westbourne Choir Sing with the Stars at the O2 Young Voices Concert

Mon 03 Feb 2020 Mr Goldhawk

Oh, what a night! Our amazing school choir travelled to the 02 Arena in London on Wednesday 22nd January to sing as part of the world’s largest school choir. They were supported by a few celebrity singers such as the incredible Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), The Shires; Crissie and Ben, and special guest Ruti, who was the winner of The Voice in Season 7.

The children sang their hearts out and performed like rock stars, dancing along to songs such as a Disney mash-up, a Queen medley, a collection of western songs, a spooky Frightfest and the children’s favourite, The Pop Medley where they sang songs from artists such as George Ezra, Jess Glynne and many more.

The children’s behaviour was outstanding and I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them. I am sure they will remember the experience forever. A huge thank you to all the fans who arrived to support the choir. I would also like to say a special thank you to the staff who attended the event and gave up their day (and night) to be there with myself and the choir: Miss Aves, Miss Caulfield, Miss Adkins, Miss Dorrian.

    Mrs Rondeau
